    Penny Ur is a teacher trainer, author and conference speakers, with over 30 years teaching experience in primary, secondary and tertiary education. In 2013, Penny was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to English language teaching and in 2022 she received the British Council ELTons award for Outstanding Achievement. Penny was a former series editor for Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers and has authored numerous bestselling methodology titles for Cambridge.
